Hera - The Ghost Guard Dog
Our four-legged radar in the dark.

Hera is a Long Stock Coat German Shepherd who accompanies our ghost tours and acts as our "radar" in the dark. Named after the wife of Zeus, Chief of the Greek Gods, she carries herself with every bit of the regal poise her namesake demands — and she's always impeccably groomed before meeting her guests.
If you were ever going to meet the "Radar O'Reilly" of the dog world, Hera would be it. She is remarkably intelligent: loving, happy, playful, amiable and endlessly friendly. The only exception is the rare moment when someone behaves in a threatening or unpleasant manner — that is when the famous protective instincts of the German Shepherd quietly switch on. Beautifully trained, she can be relied on to do exactly what is asked of her, the moment it is asked.
Her senses are her superpower. Her night vision rivals a cat's, her hearing is roughly 500 times sharper than ours, and her nose — about 5,000 times more sensitive than a human's — can pick up a barbecue three suburbs away. On a Sydney Ghost Tour, all of that talent is pointed at one job: keeping every guest safe as we move through the city's darker corners.
Come say hello. She'll know you're coming long before you see her.
